My art is about healing the mind and soul. I find painting very therapeutic and mindful. For me art is not just a way we explore and capture our emotions, it is way of processing them too. My paintings reflect both the joy and the pain we can experience in our daily lives.
My journey into abstract art began with soft pastels which I used to explore and process early childhood experiences. As an artist I try to hold on to the curiosity and playfulness we naturally have as children and apply it to my work.
As I began to experiment with shape and form I delved into painting with both watercolour and acrylic. I found inspiration from my favourite artists including Kandinsky, Van Gogh and Sara Fanelli. I have developed a bright and playful style using acrylic paints and mixed media in which I try to capture and process the thoughts and feelings provoked by the world around me.
